26 February 2020 09:00-13:00Designit's Education space

Learn to create copy that’s based on solid decision making and user needs.

You already know that language is as important a part of design as any other. But when designing and building your products, who’s actually responsible for the words? Whether or not you have a dedicated UX writer on your team, the copy has to actually get in there, and that’s easier said than done.

In this workshop, you will learn how to get started thinking about the content in your products and build it into your process. And you’ll get some actionable microcopy skills you can use, alone or with your team. This workshop is for designers, developers, writers, and anyone who wants to put better words into the world.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Understand the vital role of language in services
  • Define content needs and make decisions around your microcopy
  • Show colleagues and stakeholders not just why, but where and how words matter
  • Write user-centered content you can test and ideate on
